In this weeks edition of Carnegie Call, Leeds Carnegie Head Coach Diccon Edwards looks ahead to Sunday's re-arranged clash with Plymouth Albion at West Park Leeds, kick off 2.30pm.
HOW ARE YOU APPROACHING SUNDAY'S GAME?
It is particularly frustrating that we are having to play the game at all but our determination this week has been to focus that frustration into a quality performance on Sunday. Obviously there were certain things said after the game the other week about how the pitch prevented Plymouth from dominating us and the challenge for us is now to repeat the display we produced that day and take them on up front in the scrums. We are looking forward to facing Plymouth again on Sunday and the team are in determined mood.
HOW IS YOUR SQUAD SHAPING UP?
We have an issue in the back row with injuries and suspensions so we have been able to secure Dominic Moon on loan from Preston Grasshoppers for this week. Sam Lockwood unfortunately failed a late fitness test so misses out but we are beginning to get some bodies back on board now. Dominic Barrow is away with the England U20 squad this weekend but we are pleased to have Fred Burdon back available after injury. Rory Clegg has been recalled by Quins for this weekend's game against Ospreys so Joe Ford comes back in at fly half and I am sure he will want to put down a marker to retain the number ten shirt.
HOW IMPORTANT IS THIS WEEK'S GAME?
We have got a tough run of games now but we are looking forward to it. We have a game in hand because of this re-arrangement and we know that if we can repeat the performance we produced in the last meeting, we can get back in the top four on Sunday evening.
